Always Consider Your Lifestyle

I personally think you should have a least two watches (I really think you should own many more that that), one for work and one for play. However, when looking for a dressier watch, you should go with one that is classic and timeless. Don't be concerned with the technical details of the watch but go with the look. The Invicta Men's 1537 Reserve Venom comes to mind

Please do not wear a watch with a digital display or a rubber strap when you need to dress up or attend a formal party.

A Stainless-Steel Band

Stainless steel is the most practical band and is much more durable than rubber. A stainless steel band is versatile enough to be dressy enough when worn with a business suit and casual enough when just going to the grocery store.

The Watch Face

The size and color of the watch face is another important thing to consider. If you are a big man then you should definitely get a big faced watch so it doesn't look too small on your wrist. I personally love bigger watch faces. Also go with either a black or white face for the classic look or you could go with a watch that offers a face in your favorite color. Try to stay away from loud colors as they tend to give the wrong impression.

Water Resistance

Some people consider this a more important factor than others. Let me just comment that your watch will get wet at some point...ever heard of rain. Some men prefer to wear their watch while they bath and swim, so if this is important to you, make sure you get a watch that is water resistant to a certain depth.

This is my favorite watch on the list. I love the blue dial or face as some people refer to it of the F0003 watch. The majority of my watches have a blue dial. Blue is my favorite color so I guess it stands to reason why I love this watch.

This classic black dial with black band stand out a little more than most with it's stainless steel accents. I really like the way the stainless steel makes this watch stand out. I just wished the dial had numbers instead of the bubble marks.

This watch from Invicta is from the Venom Collection and features a polished silver stainless steel round bezel with a white dial and a high grade stainless steel bracelet band with a fold-over clasp. The case diameter is 53mm.

This is my second favorite big face watch! I like the look of this stainless steel watch. My only complaint s the lack of numbers on the dial. As I am getting older my eye site is getting worse and the numbers really help. This watch is a little heavier that some of the others because of the stainless steel band but it is not uncomfortable.

This big face watch from Nixon has a round stainless steel case, bright white dial and stainless steel strap. The face has X-large luminous numbers making it easy to read the time. The case diameter is 51mm.

This watch is really lightweight compared to other stainless steel watches. I personally like the big numbers on the dial. While this is a beautiful watch, I wish the band was a little thicker.

This big face watch from Invicta is part of the Venom Collection and features a polished silver stainless steel round bezel with a bright white/silver dial with a rubberized band with a buckle clasp. The case diameter is 52mm.

This is a nice classic looking watch with the white dial and black band. While this is not my favorite, it does off the look and sophistication that may watch owners prefer. To me this watch does not pop like some of the others but it still offers the classic look in a big faced watch.

This big face watch from Stuhrling is part of the Prestige Collection and features a Polished stainless steel round case with black gear edged rotating bezel with a green and black dial with a stainless steel fold over clasp. The case diameter is 52mm.

I really like the look of this watch. The only thing that would make it better is if it came in blue. Besides that one minor point I think this is a great watch. The black and the green do go together well and I think this watch will stand out on your wrist as you are wearing it.

This watch has the biggest face of all the watches on this page. The octagonal design is unique from all the other watches and is what makes it really stand out. You will have to get used to the weight of this watch. It can be uncomfortable to wear at first until you get used to it.

This handsome big face watch from Stuhrling is part of the Original Collection and features a polished black pvd layered stainless steel case and blue bezel and see-through dial with a black stainless steel mesh band. The case diameter is 52mm.

This is another great watch with a big face. Again, I love the blue. The blue bezel really makes this watch stand out. Plus the black mesh band really makes this watch pop!

This watch from Invicta is from the Subaqua Collection and features a beautiful black textured dial with silver-toned hands and a black band. The case diameter is 50mm.

This is a great watch if you typically wear your watches while you swim or scuba dive. While I like the blue dial of this watch, it is the least favorite of mine on this page. This is a very durable watch but I like my watches to stand out a little more.
